The KIAC All-Sports Trophy uses an average of a team's regular season performance to determine a winner. The format is based on an 10 to 1 scale with the regular season winner in each sport earning 10 points, all the way down to 1 point for tenth place. In Cross Country, Golf, and Track the results on the postseason tournament are used. The combined point total is divided by how many varsity sports the school sponsors in conference to determine the average. (Ex. 56 points earned over 8 sports= 7 point average). If a school ties in the regular season with another team, the team with a better seed in the conference tournament would earn the higher point total. (Example: If two teams tie at 4-0-1 in Soccer for first place, the team seeded #1 in the conference tournament would win the 10 points, while #2 seed would finish with 9.)
