IU Southeast and IU East finish 2nd and 3rd respectively in the NAIA.

ATHERTON, Calif. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Sports Information Directors of America (SIDA) had its annual NAIA-SIDA Convention Saturday on the campus of Menlo College. Over 50 NAIA SIDs attended the professional development event.

 

Honored during a luncheon were publication winners from the 2009-10 academic year. The Indiana University Southeast Athletic Department and Grenadier Assistant Athletic Director Joe Glover were both honored in the category for Best NAIA Athletics Website. IUSAthletics.com, which was redesigned and launched last summer, earned the honor of being named the second best NAIA athletic website for the 2009-10 academic year.
IU East's athletics Web site, www.iueredwolves.com, finished third of 38 in the Outsourced Web Site category. Red Wolves sports information director Kyle Wright's women's golf season preview article finished ninth of 39 in the Dr. W. Jack Bell Writing Contest Season Preview/Review category in another contest.

 

Westminster College and Sports Information Director Shay Wyatt won the top honor for Best NAIA Athletics Website.

 

This is the first NAIA-SIDA recognition IU Southeast and IU East have received.
