BEREA, Ky. (February 19th, 2010) The commissioner's office of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) has reviewed the incident which occurred at the Indiana University Southeast- Berea College game of February 18th.

11 players, six from Indiana University Southeast and five from Berea College were ejected from the game for fighting and will be suspended for one game based upon National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) regulations. The game is considered a no contest and the statistics will not be recorded.

Commissioner Bill Melton commented, "This is indeed an unfortunate occurrence between two highly competitive teams. I am certainly hopeful that this will be a learning experience for the players involved. The KIAC does not condone such actions and encourages players and coaches of all member schools to adhere to the high standards of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership encompassed in the NAIA Champions of Character program."
