IU Southeast and Asbury as top finishers according to coaches vote.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 21st, 2009) - The 2009-10 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preseason Basketball Polls were released Wednesday. All coaches participated in the polling on the regular season finish of the teams. The coaches could not vote for their own team, leading to 49 points and seven first place votes being the most possible.

IU Southeast was the leading vote getter on the women's side. IU Southeast got six of the first place votes and 48 points, compared to second place Asbury with two first place votes and 41 points. Brescia's women's team joins the KIAC in women's basketball and is picked third and Berea finishes fourth in voting with 32 points. Each of these teams would host a first round game under the new KIAC basketball tournament format. The four road teams would be Alice Lloyd College (26 points), Midway College (16), Cincinnati Christian (16), and St. Louis College of Pharmacy (8)
