Mohler will lead 2007 2008 KIAC Regular Season champions
Midway College announces the appointment of Coach Karley Mohler as the Head Women's Basketball Coach. Coach Mohler had been Assistant Basketball Coach at John Carroll University in Cleveland and Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. Coach Mohler will also join the faculty of the Midway College Teacher Education Department.
Midway College Athletic Director, Wendy Hoffman, commented, "We are extremely pleased to have Coach Mohler join our Athletic Department staff. Her knowledge of the game and dynamic style of coaching will continue the success of our team. More importantly, Coach Mohler shares our number-one priority of supporting student-athletes to succeed academically."
The Midway College Basketball Team just completed its most successful season winning the KIAC season championship and taking the runner-up position in the KIAC Tournament. Familiar to success as well, Coach Mohler was a three time First Team All AMC Conference player while at Rio Grande University pursuing her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education. Coach Mohler also holds a Masters Degree in Education from Walsh University.
"I am very excited to join the Midway staff! Last season was a break-out year for the current team and the program as a whole... My intentions are to build upon the success achieved by last year's team and to continue to recruit and cultivate talented young women of Midway College," Coach Mohler said. "I look forward to getting on campus, meeting the team, and getting another successful season started!"
