Whitney Baird of Bethel wins the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for January 16-22. 

Baird, a 5-11 forward from Rutherford, Tenn., had a double-double in the Midway game with 26 points and 12 rebounds.  Baird equaled her points total earlier in the week with 26 points in the Illinois Springfield game and added 5 steals.  Baird is leading Bethel with 14.9 points a game and 7 rebounds a game. Chiristina DeMaio (IU-Southeast), Desiree Haney (Midway), LaShondra Gray (Berea), and Jamie Keller (Asbury) were also nominated for the award.
