Two players honored in last award for March
Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Derek Decker, Indiana University Southeast
Derek Decker was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for March 24th-March 30th. Decker is a 5-10 sophomore from Louisville, Kentucky. He struck out six in five innings of no hit work to earn a win against #24 ranked Freed Hardeman. His win was the first on the year with a 2.31 ERA over 11.2 innings pitched.
Baseball Player of the Week: Brett Hunt, Brescia University
Brett Hunt was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for March 24th-March 30th. Hunt is a 6-3 senior from Lexington, Kentucky. He batted 12 for 19 on the week with 11 runs and 18 RBI’s over a six game span. His big game on the week was during a three for four outing with three runs and seven RBI’s in a 22-9 win over Mid Continent University.
