Asbury, Mountain State, Brescia join top seed IU Southeast in Semis
Three matches were played on the opening day, with all of the higher seeds advancing. #4 seed Asbury hung on after losing the opening game in a tight five game match over host #5 seed St. Louis College of Pharmacy 27-30, 30-17, 30-17, 28-30, 15-5. #3 seed Mountain State won handily over the # 6 seed Midway 30-9, 30-17, 30-15 #2 seed Brescia closed out opening day play with a three game sweep over #7 seed Berea 30-13, 30-10, 30-12.
Tommorow's semifinals begin at 10 a.m. Central Time with Asbury taking on top seeded IU Southeast. The noon match features Mountain State and Brescia. The two winners will square off at 3 p.m. CT for the right to automaticlly qualify for the 2007 Region XII Championships next week.
