Shawn Newsome, a 5-11 Guard from Prestonburg, Kentucky, won the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for January 1st-Janurary 7th.  Newsome hit seven of 11 from behind the three point arc in the Farmingdale State game.  Newsome leads Alice Lloyd with 17 points per game on the season.
