Amy Hall, of St. Louis College of Pharmacy took home the individual title as the conference fastest runner, winning the KIAC cross country championship on Nov. 5. Hall finished the 5K course in 19:54.

 

In the team competition, Asbury College regained it’s place at the top of the conference with a narrow win over St. Louis College of Pharmacy.  Berea College, the 2004 conference winners, placed third.

 

With Asbury and STLCOP tied at 32 points after five runners, it came down to each team’s sixth runner to determine the winner.  Asbury’s sixth runner Sara Shrauner came in one place ahead of Becky Lich, STLCOP's sixth runner, to secure the title for Asbury.  Asbury’s last women’s cross country championship was in 2002.
