Indiana University Southeast senior Kevin Sacksteder was named the KIAC men's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 16th.
IU Southeast had a 4-0 record last week after defeating Centre College (6-3), St. Louis College of Pharmacy (6-0), Berea College (9-0), and Oakland City University (8-1). Sacksteder won all three of his #1 singles matches and two #1 doubles matches. In #1 singles play, he opened with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Centre College on Monday. The senior then picked up a 6-1, 3-3 (retired) win over St. Louis College of Pharmacy and a 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) win over Oakland City on Sunday.
The Grenadiers are 11-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play. They will return to action on April 20th when they travel to Indiana Wesleyan University for the Doc Richards Classic.
